Hojin Kang deals with technology and its interaction with human needs. We are experiencing a time of virtual ubiquity: hyper-communication and remote work, permanent accessibility and endless feeds. How does digital technology affect our everyday behaviour and mental state? Using elements of meditation, the artist explores the meaning of being here in our present time.

Through works such as 3D-printed sculptures, video works and interactive media installations, Hojin Kang brings acute physicality and our state of mind into focus. The interdisciplinary designer and artist lives in Berlin and studied in Saarbrücken.

As a place of critical confidence, the Stadtgalerie has been working towards a desirable future since April 2021. This includes sustainable and equitable development in all areas.
