Saarbrücken on foot and by boat
The first part of your guided walking tour will take you from the Ludwigskirche (Ludwig’s Church) to Saarbrücken Castle. During the round trip by boat that follows, you will see places of interest that would normally involve a considerable amount of walking. Having coffee and cake while enjoying the trip on the river, you will have the opportunity to view the sights along the river, including the State Theatre, the State Parliament of the Saarland, old villas and period town houses, as well as the St. Arnual district with the Stiftskirche (Collegiate Church). A short walk through the St. Johann district, taking you to the Basilica, the Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall) and the St. Johanner Markt (St. Johanner Market Square) concludes the tour.
